Michael Douglas is an American actor and producer born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on September 25, 1944. Douglas has had an extensive career in the entertainment industry with over 40 years of experience and has received numerous awards for his work. In 1966 he made his first on stage appearance in the production Bedford Forrest, he has also been in Pinkville and was an understudy in The Whistling Wizard and the Sultan of Tuffet. He made his debut in film in 1969 in the movie Hail, Hero! and went on to be in movies like Running, Black Rain, Wall Street, Falling Down, Ant-Man, Unlocked, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and many more. He also made his debut on television in 1969 in the television show CBS Playhouse. He has since been in the television shows The Streets of San Francisco, Will & Grace, Phineas and Ferb, What’s Going On?, and others. In 1975 he produced his first film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and has continued to produce many more films. Douglas has been nominated for a multitude of awards throughout his career in producing and acting and has won six Golden Globe Awards, two Academy Awards, two Satellite Awards, an Emmy Award, a People’s Choice award, and a number of other awards.
