The Xcerts Bio

The Xcerts are an alternative rock formed in Scotland in the year 2001 when Murray Macleod and Jordan Smith met each other at the Principal’s office of Robert Gordon’s College. Eventually, Ross McTaggart joined them on the drums, and the three together recorded two EPs at Captain Tom’s studio. Just after moving to the English city of Brighton in 2006, Tom Heron took the place of McTaggart after the band split with him. They recorded two singles in Glasgow, with sounds and choruses that recalled to the post-grunge during the 90’s. Sam Duckworth, head of Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, who found them in My Space issued with his label the Singles “Do You Feel Safe” and “Just Go Home”, a song that was very well received by the public in the UK, allowing them to play acoustic sets for MTV2 and different British media. They have played in different festivals and toured with Make Model, Fightstar, Twin Atlantic and Get Cape, among others.
