Deborra-Lee Furness is an award-winning Australian actress best known for her work in film and television. She was born in Annandale, New South Wales, Australia, on November 30, 1955.
Deborra-Lee began her acting career in 1974 when she appeared in a few episodes, but she became famous in 1995 when she joined the cast of the crime-drama series Correlli, which also featured Hugh Jackman, Richard Piper, and Sue Jones. She has since had recurring roles in the TV series Fire, Hyde & Seek, Stark, Neighbours, and Kings. Deborra-Lee’s filmography includes Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, The Last of the Finest, Jindabyne, Sleepwalking, Angel Baby, Shame, and Blessed.
She has won two Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards for Best Actor – Female & Best Actress in a Supporting Role and a Seattle International Film Festival Award for Best Actress.
