New West Bio
New West, a Toronto-based music collective formed in 2017, stands as a testament to collaboration and musical diversity. Comprising four accomplished songwriters and instrumentalists—Kala Wita, Vella, Ben Key, and Noel West—the group fuses their distinct backgrounds in studio production and music to craft a unique sonic experience.
Noel West played a pivotal role in bringing the members together, initiating studio sessions in 2017 with Kala Wita and Ben Key. The addition of Vella, recommended by Ben, marked the completion of the ensemble, with an instant chemistry evident. Formerly known as The .wav, the collective adopted the name New West in 2018, signaling a transformative phase in their musical journey.
In 2019, New West introduced their sound to the world with the release of the debut single "Those Eyes," followed by the EP "Call Me When You Hear This Song." Their discography now boasts hit singles like "Next To You," "IYKYK," "Home," and "Paris," alongside the album "Based On A True Story."
