Michel Gondry is a filmmaker born on 8th May 1963 in Versailles, France. He started his career with an emphasis on emotion. He began by creating music videos for the rock band Oui Oui. He was later noticed by Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk who tasked him with directing the video for her album single “Human Behavior.” He has also collaborated with other artists, including Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers, Radiohead, Beck, The Vines, and Steriogram.
His directorial debut came in 2001 with the comedy-drama film “Human Nature.” In 2000, he co-wrote and directed the romantic fiction drama film “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.” Two years later, he wrote, directed, and produced the science fantasy drama film “The Science of Sleep.” He also directed the films “Be Kind Rewind” in 2008, “The Green Hornet” in 2011, “The We and the I” in 2012, “Mood Indigo” in 2013, and “Microbe & Gasoline” in 2015.
