Commencing her journey in 2001 as a chorus member with the Latvian National Opera, she swiftly ascended to soloist status in 2003. Opolais catapulted to international acclaim in 2006 with a stellar debut at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, marking the onset of a remarkable career. Subsequent milestones included debuts at La Scala in Milan (2008), the Vienna State Opera (2008), and the Bavarian State Opera in the titular role of Dvořák's "Rusalka" in 2010, directed by Martin Kušej. In 2011, Opolais graced London's Royal Opera, mesmerizing audiences with her portrayal of Puccini's "Madama Butterfly," conducted by Nelsons.
