Jose Alvarado Bio
Jose Alvarado is a professional basketball player who currently plays for New Orleans Pelicans that competes in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born on 12th April 1998 in Middle Village, New York, United States, Alvarado attended Christ the King Regional High School. He was named Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) Player of the Year. He later played college basketball for the Georgia Institute of Technology. He was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year in his final year.
He declared himself eligible for the NBA draft in 2021. However, he went undrafted and went on to sign a two-way contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. He played for both the Pelicans and Birmingham Squadron. He scored a career-high 38 points against the Denver Nuggets in December 2022. Internationally, Alvarado plays for Puerto Rico men's the national basketball team.
