Camille Winbush is an American actress and singer born in 1990 in Culver City. She was born into a media family and started her TV career with small roles on shows like “7th Heaven,” “Criminal Minds,” and “NYPD Blue,” among others. In 2003 she entered the limelight as Vanessa Thomkins on “The Bernie Mac Show.” This performance earned the young actress three NAACP Image Awards between 2004 and 2006. After briefly joining the cast of “Grey's Anatomy” in 2007, Winbush got a recurring role in the sitcom “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” from 2008 to 2013. As a singer, Winbush has taken part in recording sessions for the compilation album “School's Out!” along with Myra and Taylor Momsen, and also took part in the Disney musical “Gepetto”.
