Mary Earps Bio

Mary Alexandra Earps is an English professional footballer born on 7th March 1993 in Nottingham, England. She plays as goalkeeper for Manchester United Women’s Team, which competes in the Women's Super League. She has flourished at the English football club since joining from Wolfsburg in 2019. She also plays football for the England women’s national team. At the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, she served as the vice-captain for England and won the Golden Glove award for best goalkeeper of the tournament.

She started her career in 2009 with Leicester City football club. Other FA WSL clubs she has played for include Bristol Academy, Doncaster Belles, Birmingham City, and Reading. She has also played in the Bundesliga for VfL Wolfsburg. She represented England at under-17, under-19, and under-23 levels. She won her first senior cup in 2017. In December 2023, Nottingham Express Transit named a tram after her. Other notable people from Nottingham who have been named include Stuart Broad and Vicky McClure.
