Wesley Iwundu is an American professional basketball player. He was born as Wesley Deshawn Iwundu on the 20th December, 1994 in Houston, Texas. Iwundu attended Westfield High School in Texas, where he played for the high-school team. He was then recruited to play college basketball for the Wildcat's Men's Basketball team of the Kansas State University. In his senior season, Iwundu averaged 13 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game, for his senior season. He was then selected in the second overall pick by the Orlando Magic in the 2017 NBA draft, where he has been praised as a very good switch defender. Orlando Magic’s Coach Steve Clifford has said about Iwundu that “He’s smart and he knows the game plan and he knows who he is guarding.”
