Ladytron Bio

Ladytron are an electro pop music band from Liverpool, England. The band was formed in 1999 by vocalists and synth players Helen Marnie and Mira Aroyo, guitarist Daniel Hunt and keyboard player/producer Reuben Wu. Their debut album “604” was released in 2001, soon followed by “Light & Magic” which was co-produced by Mickey Petralia. They have toured extensively, sharing stage with artists like Franz Ferdinand. In 2005, they released their acclaimed third studio album “Witching Hour” through Island Records. It featured several renowned musicians like Pop Levi on bass and Keith York on the drums. Their fourth album “Velocifero” was released on Nettwerk in 2008 and it included the hit singles “Ghosts” and “Runaway”. During the following year, Ladytron toured alongside The Faint across the U.S. That same year, they co-wrote and produced several songs for Christina Aguilera. In 2011, the band released their fifth album “Gravity the Seducer” before taking a five year hiatus. In 2019, they released their sixth eponymous album through PledgeMusic.
