Avi Kaplan, born on April 17th, 1989 in California, is an American singer and songwriter. He was previously a member of the acapella group Pentatonix, well known for his deep and mellow bass voice. He left the highly successful group in mid-2017.
Soon after, the artist debuted Avriel & the Sequoias, a solo folk music project. The debut EP Sage and Stone was a success, with much of his previous fanbase coming into his music. With songs including Fields and Pier, Sweet Adeline and Quarter Past Four. As a member of Pentatonix, Kaplan has won an incredible three Grammy Awards and has been nominated for many others. He has since resumed using the name Avi Kaplan.
