Tony Lewis Bio
Tony Lewis is a British musician, singer and songwriter. He was born on the 21st of December, 1957, in London, U.K. Lewis started his musical career in the early 1980’s, influenced by bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. His first band was called Sirius B and it had progressive rock sounds. The band broke and a few years later, Lewis formed another band alongside John Spinks, called The Baseball Boys. They toured around the U.K. and they signed with an American management company. They changed their name to The Outfield and they released their first album in 1985 titled “Play Deep”. The album became a multi platinum selling album, reaching the Top 10 in the U.S. album charts. It included the hit “Your Love” which made it to number 6 in the Billboard charts. In 2011, the Outfield released their last album titled “Replay”. John Spinks died in 2014, ending the band production. Lewis took a break from music after the death of his collaborator but in 2017 he signed with the label Madison Records to release a solo album titled “Out of the Darkness”.
