Michael Vick Bio
Michael Vick was born on June 26, 1980, in Newport News, Virginia. He is a former NFL quarterback who played thirteen seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles. Vick started his football career during his high school years at Homer L. Ferguson High School in Newport News, Virginia. He continued playing football into his college years at Virginia Tech. The highlight of Vick’s 2000 season was rushing total of 210 yards against Boston.
Vick was selected first during the 2001 NFL Draft by the Falcons, and he was the first African-American quarterback to be chosen as the top pick. He played professionally for Atlanta Falcons before switching to the Philadelphia Eagles. He had brief one-year contracts with the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers before tentatively retiring. Vick announced his official decision to retire from the NFL on February 3, 2017 and went on to coach with his former coach Andy Reid with the Kansas City Chiefs.
