Gus G. Bio

Gus G. is a guitarist born on 12th September 1980 in Thessaloniki, Greece. He’s currently playing with the Greek power metal band Firewall. He joined Berklee College of Music at the age of 18 but dropped out to start his music career. In 1998, he recorded a demo with friends in the US. He named the project “Firewind” and it was used to showcase his guitar skills so he could get a professional recording deal. The demo caught the attention of Leviathan Records, but Gus decided to join the bands, Dream Evil, Mystic Prophecy, and Nightrage.

Gus has appeared as a guest for several artists, including the song on Rob Rock’s album “Garden of Chaos”. After auditioning for a guitarist role with Ozzy Osbourne in 2009, he was asked to perform a concert with the band a couple of months later. After a brief spell with Ozzy Osbourne, he returned to Firewind and played a key role in their seventh album, “Few Against Many”. When Firewind when on hiatus in December 2003, he started his solo career. His first solo album, “I Am the Fire” was released in 2014. He went on to release the albums “Brand New Revolution” in 2015, “Fearless” in 2018, and “Quantum Leap” in 2021.
