David Lawrence Ramsey III, also known as Dave, was born on 3rd September, 1960 in Antioch, Nashville, Tennessee, United States. He is an author, radio show host, financial expert, and businessman. Ramsey is dedicated to helping people learn about finance and live a debt-free life. His radio show “The Dave Ramsey Story” is on more than 500 radio stations and heard by millions of listeners. In his twenties, he owned a brokerage firm called “Ramsey Investments Inc.”. He is known for being featured on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and “60 Minutes”. As an author, he is known for writing 7 national best-sellers: “More Than Enough”, “Financial Peace”, “EntreLeadership”, “Complete Guide to Money”, “The Total Money Makeover”, “The Legacy Journey”, and “Smart Money Smart Kids”. His motto and catchphrase is “Live like no one else, so later you can live and give like no one else”. Some of the awards he has won are the NAB Marconi Award (2009), NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame (2012), and Radio Ink Readers' Choice Award (2004).
