Thy Art Is Murder Bio
Thy Art is Murder is an Australian deathcore band from Sydney, New South Wales. Founded in 2006, their members are Sean Delander (guitars), Lee Stanton (drums), Chris “CJ” McMahon (vocals), Andy Marsh (guitars), Kevin Butler (bass).
They first found success with the release of their 2008 EP, Infinite Death, which landed them at the number 10 spot on the AIR charts, the first Australian metal band to do so. They followed up with two more independently-released LPs, The Adversary (2010) and Hate (2012). The latter release proved successful enough to land them a deal with major metal label Nuclear Blast.
Nuclear Blast reissued Hate in 2013, earning them further exposure in the European and American markets. The album earned the band further success, returning to the Australian charts and making the American charts. Their third album, Holy War was released in 2015 and was a major success for the band.
