Hillsong United Bio

Hillsong United is a contemporary Christian worship music band which is part of Hillsong Church. It was formed in 1998, in Sydney, New Australia. Originally, the band consisted of Hillsong church leaders and songwriters like Joel Houston, Matt Croker and Taya Smith-Gaukrodger. In 1998, Hillsong’s worship leader and also singer, Darlene Zschech, suggested they record their debut EP “One” which was released that same year. During the next year, they released their debut album “Everyday” through Hillsong Music Australia label. In 2008, their album “The Heart Revolution: With Hearts as One” peaked at number 5 in the Top Christian Albums. A year later, they released “[a_CROSS // the_EARTH]” which reached number one on the same chart. They repeated the exploit in 2012 with “Live in Miami: Welcome to the Aftermath” and then in 2019, with the album “People”.
