Lane Monte Kiffin is an American football coach and college player best known for his time as a college and NFL coach. He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States, on May 9, 1975.
Lane played as a quarterback for Jefferson High School and the Bulldogs from Fresno State University, and after his college career ended in 1996, he joined Fresno State as an assistant coach. He has since coached Colorado State University, the University of South Carolina, the University of Tennessee, the University of Alabama, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and a 2007-2008 Oakland Raiders team that featured Josh McCown, Jay Richardson, Justin Fargas, and Ronald Curry.
