Osric Chau is a Chinese Canadian actor and martial artist. He was born on the 20th July, 1986 in Vancouver, Canada, from a family with Chinese origins. He started practising martial arts from a very young age and he did stunt work before being cast in Spike TV’s mini-series “Kung Fu Killer”. In 2009, he played in the disaster film directed by Roland Emmerich, “2012”, alongside veteran actors such as John Cusack and Danny Glover. In 2012, he landed his first major role on a television series, portraying Kevin Tran on the very successful “Supernatural”. He has appeared since then in more than 10 television series, such as “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders”, “The 100”, and “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency”. He has also played in many movies, like “Best Player” in 2011, “The Matchbreaker” in 2016 and “Empty by Design” in 2019, which he also produced.
