Evan Bates Bio
Evan Bates is an American professional ice skater who specializes in ice dancing competitions. He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States, on February 23, 1989.
Evan began ice skating at the age of four, and although he initially began practicing for single competitions, he eventually transitioned to partnered ice dancing. Evan competed with Emily Samuelson and Arielle Chudnofsky, but through most of his professional career, he has partnered with Madison Chock. He has since won gold medals at the Four Continents Championships, World Junior Championships, silver medals at the World Championships, Four Continents Championships, Grand Prix Final, and Junior Grand Prix Final. Evan also won silver in the figure skating team event at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
