Shannon Lee Tweed Simmons, better known as Shannon Tweed, is a Canadian actress best known for her work in film and television. She was born in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, on March 10, 1957.
Shannon began her acting career in 1982 when she was cast in the film Drop-Out Father, but she became famous in 1985 when she joined the cast of the long-running series Days of Our Lives. She has since had recurring roles in the TV series My Guide to Becoming a Rock Star, Frasier, The Tom Show, 1st & Ten, Fly by Night, and Generations.
Shannon’s filmography includes Steele Justice, Night Visitor, The Naked Truth, Hard Vice, and The Rowdy Girls, but she is best known for starring in the adventure-comedy film Detroit Rock City alongside Edward Furlong, Giuseppe Andrews, Melanie Lynskey, Lin Shaye, and Natasha Lyonne.
