Puma Blue (real name Jacob Allen) is a musical artist based in London. His musical style has been described as “voicemail-ballads.” He first gained attention with a few EPs before earning wider recognition with his full-length debut albums, titled “In Praise of Shadows,” which was released in 2021. Born in 1995, Puma Blue spent most of his youth in Hurst Green, Sussex, before moving to Rehill near Croydon, where he began his music career.
Within a short time, he had learned how to play guitar and soon started crafting his own music, drawing inspiration from artists like Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, J Dilla, and Sade. Later on, he moved to South London, where he immersed himself in the city’s electronic music scene. In 2014, he adopted the name Puma Blue and started uploading songs on the internet. He released numerous EPs, including Swum Baby in 2017 and Blood Loss in 2018. He released his full-length album, titled “In Praise of Shadows,” in 2021.
