Matt Dawson Bio
Matthew James Sutherland Dawson, MBE, known as Matt Dawson, is an English retired professional rugby player who played as a scrum-half in the Premiership. He was born in Birkenhead, England, on October 31, 1972.
Matt spent his formative years playing for RGS High Wycombe and Marlow Rugby Club, and he turned professional in 1991 when he signed with Northampton, who he went on to represent for fourteen seasons between 1991 and 2004. He also spent three seasons with the London Wasps between 2004 and 2006. Matt also represented the English national squad, and he made 77 international appearances.
Since his retirement, Matt has been a regular on the reality series A Question of Sport, which also features Sue Barker, Matt Dawson, and David Coleman.
