The Bronx is a punk and hard rock band from Los Angeles, California formed in 2002. By 2003 they had put together an independent label called White Drugs and released their first self-titled album. The band toured the United States, Europe, and Australia before releasing two more EP’s (“Bats!” and “La Muerte Viva”) with this label, and signing with Island Records for a second self-titled full-length album in 2006. As a side project, they started personifying themselves as Mariachis under the name “Mariachi El Bronx” since 2009. Two more self-titled albums ensued in 2006 and 2013. The band has also released two live DVD albums, and by their fifth release “BRVNX” (2017), their lineup consisted of Matt Caughthran (vocals), Joby J. Ford (guitar), Jorma Vik (drums), and James Tweedy (bass).
