The Driver Era is an American pop-rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2018. The project stems from the all-sibling, Colorado native rock-pop band R5. It consists of singer and actor Ross Lynch (who also starred in the 2017 drama “My Friend Dahmer") and his brother, the multi-instrumentalist and producer Rocky Lynch. The duo decided to part ways with R5 after a 2018 R5 tour called “New Addictions”. The Driver Era made its debut in 2018 with the single “Preacher Man”. In 2019, the band released its first full-length album titled “X”, with the BMG label. Shortly after, the duo released two singles titled “A Kiss” and “Forever Always”. In 2020, the duo followed up with two more singles: “OMG Plz Don’t Come Around” and “Flashdrive."
