VNV Nation Bio
VNV Nation is an alternative electronic project, known for its poetic lyrics and musical experimentation. The letters in the name stand for "Victory Not Vengeance". VNV’s sound mixes melodic dance beats to ballads and post-classical pieces. The project is led by Ronan Harris as the singer, songwriter, and producer. Ronan Harris was born in Dublin, Ireland on June 14th, 1967. In 1988, Harris moved from Dublin to London. His beginning as VNV Nation was in 1990 and in 1994 he met Mark Jackson, who joined VNV Nation as the drummer for live shows. In 1995, they released their first album “Advance and Follow”. As a duo, they released 10 albums with at least three of them charting top 10 in Germany. On November 16, 2017, it was announced that Mark Jackson was leaving VNV Nation. Ronan Harris remains committed to VNV Nation as the shows continue to be known for their high energy and lively performance across Europe and America. VNV Nation has collaborated with several artists, such as Mono Inc. and Lies of Love, among others.
