Taylor Hackford Bio
Taylor Edwin Hackford was born on 31st December, 1944 in Santa Barbara, California, United States. He is a movie director, producer and former president of the “Directors Guild of America”. Hackford is known for his work in “Ray”, “Blood In, Blood Out”, “Dolores Clairborne” and “An Office and a Gentleman”. When he first started his career, he was a documentary-maker for public televison in Los Angeles, California. Awards: Oscar from the Academy Awards for Best Short Film, Live Action (“Teenage Father”); two Oscar Nominations; a 20/20 Awards nomitation; AARP Movies for Grownups Awards nomination; won the Black Reel Awards; won 2 Capri, Hollywood awards, etc.
