Maiara Kylior Walsh is a Brazilian-American actress and singer best known for her work in film and television. She was born in Seattle, Washington, United States, on February 18, 1988. Maiara began her acting career in 2005 when she appeared in the TV series Unfabulous, but she became famous in 2009 when she was cast in the series Desperate Housewives. She has since had recurring roles in the TV series The Last Ship, Good Trouble, and Cory in the House, but she is best known for starring in the drama series Switched at Birth alongside Katie Leclerc, Vanessa Marano, Constance Marie, and Lea Thompson. Maiara’s filmography includes Summer Camp, The Jazz Funeral, The Starving Games, Last Hours in Suburbia, General Education, and The Secret Diary of an Exchange Student.
