Michael Raymond-James, born Michael Weverstad, is an American actor, director, and writer best known for his work in film and television. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, United States, on December 24, 1977.
Michael began his acting career in 2000 when he appeared in the film Minor Blues. He has since had an extensive career that has seen him land recurring roles in the TV series Godfather of Harlem, See, Law & Order: Organized Crime, Big Sky, Tell Me a Story, Frontie, Once Upon a Time, Game of Silence, True Blood, and ER. Michael’s filmography includes The Finest Hours, American Insurrection, The Integrity of Joseph Chambers, The Salvation, Road to Paloma, and Jack Reacher, which features Tom Cruise, Rosamund Pike, Jai Courtney, and David Oyelowo.
Michael won an NYLA International Film Festival Award for Best Actor.
