Jane Seymour Bio
Jane Seymour is an actress born on 15th February 1951 in Uxbridge, Middlesex, England. She made her debut in acting as an uncredited extra in the musical comedy “Oh! What a Lovely War” in 1969. She went on to play leading roles in television shows and films such “The Onedin Line” from 1972 to 1973 and “Live and Let Die” in 1973. In 1976, she appeared in the television miniseries “Captains and the Kings,” for which she received a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series.
In 1993, she appeared in the drama series “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” as Dr. Michaela Quinn. The series ran for six seasons and earned her two more nominations for Emmy Awards and four nominations for Golden Globe Awards. Other films she has starred in include “Somewhere in Time” in 1980, “The Scarlet Pimpernel” in 1982, “Wedding Crashers” in 2005, “Little Italy” in 2018, and “The War with Grandpa” in 2020.
