Ville Hermanni Valo is a singer-songwriter born on 22nd November 1976 in Helsinki, Finland. He is widely known for being the lead vocalist for the HIM (His Infernal Majesty), a gothic rock band he co-founded with Mikko "Mige" Paananenin in 1991. Beyond HIM, Valo has partnered with several artists and bands. Notable collaborations include “Apocalyptica,” “The 69 Eyes,” and “Agents.”
Valo started his music career after second grade when he accepted music-oriented classes. However, he released his first album, "Greatest Lovesongs Vol. 666" (1997), under HIM. Their 2000 release "Razorblade Romance" reached #1 in Austria, Finland, and Germany. Other albums include “Love Metal” (2003) and “Tears on Tape” (2013). In 2020, Valo started a solo career under the name VV, with his debut album “Neon Noir" released in 2023. The same year, he released a surprise EP, “Gothica Fennica Vol. 1". Valo has also appeared on TV – with "Ilppo Pohjola” and voiced “Moto Moto."
