Alexandra Elizabeth Kingston is an award-winning English actress best known for her performances on the TV Series ER and Doctor Who. She was born in Epsom, Surrey, England, on March 11, 1963. Although her career has included appearances in movies like Croupier, Like Crazy, and Carrington, she is best known for her work in TV series. Alex has made guest appearances in the series Arrow, Blue Bloods, American odyssey, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and has had starring roles in The Knock, Upstairs Downstairs, Shoot the Messenger, and Doctor Who. She is best known for her work on the series ER which she starred in from 1997 to 2009 alongside Noah Wyle, George Clooney, Julianna Margulies, and Maura Tierney. Alex has won many awards for her performances including an Icon Award from the TV Land Awards, Woman of the Year at Anglophenia's Fan Favorites Women's Tournament, Best Actress at the SFX Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
