12th Planet Bio

12 Planet, born John Dadzie on June 7th, 1982 in Los Angeles, California is a DJ and electronic music producer specializing in dubstep and drum and bass. He began spinning and producing music in high school. During this time he formed a production company with a fellow DJ named DJ Linth called Imperial Recordings. He started producing his own music under the alias Infiltrata in the drum and bass genre.  As he moved into the dubstep genre John changed his moniker to 12th Planet.

12th Planet has worked with producers and artists such a Flinch, Skrillex, Datstick, Doctor P, Plastican, DJ Rusko, and Skream.  He has toured around the world playing in many electronic dance music festivals including Electric Daisy Carnival, SXSW, Coachella, Ultra Music Festival and Beyond Wonderland. In 2007 12th Planet launched SMOG Records and began releasing EP’s and singles in the next year. Some of his notable works include the Smokescreen EP and Petra Patrick EP in 2008 and the singles by Skrillex where he appeared as a featured artist on the tracks: “Need to Change” and “Right on Time.”
