22gz is an American, Guyanese-descendant, rapper, starter of Brooklyn’s drill scene. Jeffrey Alexander, known as 22gz, was born on November 29, 1997, in the neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. During his youth, he wanted to be a basketball player, but he soon turned to music. His first steps as an artist where performing routines of dancing in the NYC Subway, starting doing it professionally in 2016 with his very first produced song “Blixky”, featured with Nas Blixky & NiikoSauv, obtaining more than 1.6 million views on Youtube only to release another hit, “Suburban”, the same year, beating his record with more than 4 million views. It was Atlantic Records the company that made his first mixtape “The Blixky Tape” appear in 2019. His next mixtape, called “Growth & Development” saw the light in the spring of 2020, produced by Ghosty, based in England.
