Ada Hegerberg Bio

Ada Martine Stolsmo Hegerberg, known as Ada Hegerberg, is a Norwegian professional soccer who plays as a striker in the top women’s leagues in Europe. She was born in Molde, Norway, on July 10, 1995.

Ada began her soccer career when she joined the youth setup at Sunndal, and she turned professional in 2010 when she signed with Kolbotn. She has since represented Stabæk, Turbine Potsdam, and Lyon, and throughout her long stint with Lyon, Ada played alongside Amandine Henry, Wendie Renard, Selma Bacha, and Lindsey Horan. She has also continued to be a part of the Norwegian national women’s team since her senior debut in 2011.

Ada’s team career highlights include winning the Division 1 Féminine, Norwegian Women's Cup, Coupe de France, UEFA Women's Champions League, and Trophée des Championnes, and her solo career highlights include being named UEFA Best Women's Player in Europe in 2016, Norwegian Sportsperson of the Year in 2016, BBC Women's Footballer of the Year in 2017 and 2019, and winning the 2018 Ballon d'Or Féminin.
