Adam Rippon is an American figure skater born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on November 11, 1989. He is an Olympian, having represented the United States at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. He won a bronze medal as a part of the figure skating team event. He started skating at the age of ten and won his first medal in 2005 at the 2005 U.S. Championships. In 2007 and 2008 he won the Junior Grand Prix Final and the U.S. Junior National title in 2008. In 2008 and 2009 he won the World Junior Championships and in 2010 won the 2010 Four Continents Championships. In 2016 he won the 2016 U.S. National Championships. He announced his retirement from professional skating in November 2018. In 2018 he competed in the 26th season of Dancing With the Stars and won the competition with his professional partner Jenna Johnson. He also made appearances as a guest judge on season 11 of the show RuPaul’s Drag Race.
