Adam Savage is an American special effects designer, born on July 15, 1967, in New York, New York. He is best known as the former co-host of the television series MythBusters and Unchained Reaction, aired on the Discovery Channel. He began his career working with his father Whitney Lee Savage on Sesame Street. In 1993, he started his career in the special-effects industry and contributed to special effects in popular movies, including George Lucas's Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace and Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Dean Parisot`s Galaxy Quest, and Wachowski`s Matrix sequels. He has also worked on Space Cowboys and Bicentennial Man. In 2002, he got together with Jamie Hyneman to shoot MythBusters, and the rest is history. Adam also stars in and produces content for Tested.com.
