Adrienne Warren is an actor, singer, and dancer born on May 6, 1987, in Virginia. She appeared in the ensemble of The Wiz before debuting on Broadway in 2012 as Danielle on Bring It On: The Musical, a role she originated. Her next role was in Shuffle Along in 2016, originating the role of Gertrude Saunders and Florence Mills. For this performance, she was nominated for Best Featured Actress In A Musical in the 2016 Tony Awards. Her latest on-stage role was as Tina Turner in The Tina Turner Musical. This role served as her debut in West End. Her performance earned Warren several nominations, including the Tony, Olivier, Evening Standard, and WhatsOnStage Awards. In addition to her stage roles, Warren has appeared in several films and television shows, including Orange, Is The New Black, Blue Bloods, and Royal Pains. Warren is also one of the co-founders of the Broadway Advocacy Coalition.
