Agnez Mo is the stage name of the Indonesian singer, songwriter, and actress Agnes Monica Muljoto. She was born in Jakarta, Indonesia on July 1, 1986. Agnes started singing at a young age and released a children’s album titled Si Meong when she was six years old. She became incredibly popular as a teenager after releasing the single “Pernikahan Dini” and was the highest paid teenage artist from Indonesia. Agnes also released two more children’s albums in 1995 titled Yess! and Bala-Bala in 1998. In 2003 she released her first studio album as an adult titled And the Story Goes and has since released Whaddup A.. ‘?!, Sacredly Agnezious, Agnez Mo, and X. She also was involved in acting from a young age and had her first acting job as a host for the variety show VAN (Video Anak Antv) in 1992. She has also been in several other Variety shows like Diva Romeo, MTV Ampuh, Nez Academy, The Voice Indonesia and more. In 1999 she landed a role in the television series Lupus Millenia and has continued landing roles in shows like Amanda, Mr. Hologram, Ciuman Pertama, Cantik, Pink, The Hospital, Jelita and others. Throughout her career she has been nominated for a multitude of awards and is the most-awarded Indonesian singer. She has won 18 Anugerah Musik Indonesia Awards, 8 Panasonic Awards, 4 MTV Indonesia Awards and many more.
