Born in 1968, Aiden Gillen is an Irish actor. Born in Dublin, he began his career with the Dublin Youth Theatre with their production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Nick Bottom. He then played Stuart Alan Jones in the television series Queer as Folk and this garnered him a British Academy Television Award for his groundbreaking role.
He is best known for his part as Petyr ‘Littlefinger’ Baelish in Game of Thrones, HBO’s hit television show, in which he works alongside Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington. With over thirty film credits to his name he can most recently be seen in the Guy Ritchie directed film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and can be seen in the upcoming film Bohemian Rhapsody.
