Air Waves Bio
Nicole Schneit chose the moniker Air Waves when she released her first independent album in 2007. Coming from Brooklyn, New York, Air Waves is a name inspired from the song “Guided by Voices.” Her sound is described as “easy melody and loosely ramshackle pop sound.” Her musical influences are the Clean, Neil Young, and Velvet Underground.
Blending country, folk, and lo-fi indie rock, Air Waves released her second LP “Dungeon Dots” via Underwater People’s label. A follow-up album was launched entitled “Parting Glances” working with Jarvis Taveniere. It was released in 2015.
