Alan Carr Bio
Alan Graham Carr is a comedian born in Weymouth, Dorset, England, on June 14, 1976. He has a degree in theater studies from Middlesex University. He gained prominence after winning the BBC New Comedy Award for Stand-up and CityLife Best Newcomer of the Year in 2001. His observational comedy focuses on everyday life and innuendo.
His Channel 4 chat show Alan Carr: Chatty Man won the 2013 BAFTA for Best Entertainment Performance and the 2013 British Comedy Award for Best Comedy Entertainment Personality. The show has featured Lady Gaga, Drew Barrymore, Russell Brand, Samuel L. Jackson, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Gok Wan, and Miranda Hart.
His 2015 tour Yap, Yap, Yap saw him perform in the UK and Ireland. He has published two best-selling books, Look Who It Is and Alanatomy. He has hosted Kylie's Secret Night, Alan Carr's Celebrity Replay, I Don't Like Mondays, and Alan Carr's Happy Hour. Alan has performed for her Majesty The Queen at the Royal Variety Performance.
