Alan Doyle is an actor and musician born on 17th May 1969 in Petty Harbor-Maddox Cove, Canada. He is widely recognized for being the lead singer of the folk rock band Great Big Sea. He met his band member and co-founder of the Great Big Sea band in college. Doyle had previously played in a music duo with John Brenton. He has also been a child actor, having starred in the television film “A Whale for the Killing” when he was still young.
In 2005, Doyle composed music that was featured in the television sitcom “Hatching, Matching, and Dispatching”. He scored the dark comedy film “Young Triffie’s Been Made Away with” the following year. He released his debut solo album, titled “Boy on Bridge,” in 2012. He went on to release two more albums, titled “So Let’s Go” in 2015 and “A Week at the Warehouse”.
