Alemán, also known as Erick Raúl Alemán Ramírez, is a Mexican rapper and songwriter born in 1990 in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur. He started writing songs as a teenager and moved to Mexico City. In 2004 he came together with MC Donald and DJ Phat to form the group 2 Rimas, releasing the album “Click Clack Punto Exacto” in 2009. Alemán then carried on with his DJ Phat partnership, releasing his solo debut “Clasick-rap” a year later. His next album “Pase de Abordar” came out in 2014 and was met with critical acclaim, but his breakthrough came with 2016’s “Rolemos Otro”, under the Homegrown Mafia label. The albums’ success earned Alemán spots on the Ceremonia and Verano Plop festivals, and two years later he released his third LP “Eclipse”, featuring the talents of Yung Sarria, Kidd Keo, Akapellah, and C. Tangana. Alemán has also made appearances at Lollapalooza Chile and the Vive Latino festival.
