Alessia Caracciolo, who is known professionally as Alessia Cara, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. She is best known for her singles like “Here” and “Wild Things”. In 2014, she signed with EP Entertainment and Def Jam Recordings, after which she released her debut single “Here”, which became the 19th top song on the Canadian Hot 100 chart and was a hit in the US as well, even peaking at 5th place on the Billboard Hot 100. Her debut album was 9th on the Billboard 200 and 8th on the Canadian Albums Chart. Her album’s third single, “Scars to Your Beautiful”, was also 8th on the Billboard Hot 100. Since then she has worked on collaborations with other artists and even received a nomination for a Grammy Award for best New Artist. Cara willl be hosting the 2020 JUNO music awards in Canada. She was born in Brampton on July 11, 1996.
