Alex Mack is an American football player born in Los Angeles, California on November 19, 1985. He currently plays as a center for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. He played football in high school at San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara where he was named the Channel League’s Co-Most Valuable Player on defense. Mack went to college at the University of California, Berkeley and played college football for the school team the California Golden Bears. In 2009 he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft, 21st overall, and signed a five-year contract with the Browns. In 2009 and 2010 Mack started in every game on the offensive line for the Browns. In 2016 he voided his contract with the Cleveland Browns making him a free agent. Later that year he signed a five-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons for $45 million with $28.5 million guaranteed. In 2016 he went to Super Bowl LI with the Falcons against the New England Patriots and was the starting center in the game. While in the NFL he has played 149 games, started 149 games, and has played in 6 Pro Bowls.
