Alex Verdugo is a professional baseball player who plays for Boston Red Sox that competes in Major League Baseball (MLB). Born on 15th May 1996 in Arizona, United States, Alex started his career with the Los Angeles Dodgers after being selected in the second round of the 2014 MLB draft. However, it was not until 1st September 2017 that he was promoted to the majors. He played a total of 17 games for the Dodgers during the 2017 season.
After an impressive three-year spell with the Dodgers, Alex was traded to Boston Red Sox on 10th February 2020 with David Price and Mookie Betts moving the other way. His first season with the team was not impressive as he posted the lowest fielding percentage. However, his performance improved the following season and Red Sox manager said Alex can improve even more. On 13th January 2023, he extended his contract for one more year.
