Alexandra Shipp Bio

Alexandra Ruth Shipp was born on July 16, 1991, in Phoenix, Arizona.

In 2009, she appeared in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel as Valentina. She also appeared as Ashley in Switched at Birth, as KT Rush in House of Anubis, and as Mary Beth in the daytime soap Days of Our Lives.

She was in Straight Outta Compton, Tragedy Girls, and X-Men: Apocalypse where she played Ororo Munroe/Storm. In 2018, she appeared in Spinning Man as Anna, Love, Simon as Abby, and in Dude as Amelia. She will be in A Dog’s Way Home and Shaft in 2019. She will also appear in Dark Phoenix where she will portray her X-Men character Munroe/Storm.

She won the Best Actress award from the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival for her role in Tragedy Girls in 2017.
