Alfredo Rodríguez is an internationally acclaimed Cuban jazz pianist who was born on October 7th 1985 in Havana, Cuba. Alfredo began his musical studies at the age of 7 training at the piano at the age of 10. He was enrolled in the Manuel Saumell Conservatory and later at the Amadeo Roldan Music Conservatory where he won classical competitions.
Alfredo's fame increased as he became a feature at major music festivals like the Playboy Jazz Festival, the Monterey Jazz Festival and the Montreux Jazz Festival. His talent was noticed by music producer and future-mentor Quincy Jones at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2006. His debut album Sounds of Space appeared in 2012 and co-produced by the artist and Jones. His other well known albums include The Little Dream (2018) and Tocororo (2016).
